ARMA Design Joins Echelon's Prestigious Digital Home® Alliance Partners Program
SAN DIEGO, CA - Friday, November 2, 2007
ARMA Design, a San Diego-based full service electronic product development company providing design, prototype and in-house manufacturing services, has aligned itself with Echelon’s Digital Home Alliance partners program.
The Digital Home Alliance program brings to market networked home control products based upon Echelon's open, standards-based LonWorks® control networking technology and promotes to consumers the value of the Digital Home Alliance logo as a mark of products that network together, are easy to install, and add value to consumers' lives.
A key feature of Digital Home Alliance products is easy installation of the product on the home network. Consumers simply plug in a new product and it is automatically added and configured to join the home control network using the innovative Interoperable Self-Installation (ISI) technology.
"We are thrilled to participate in our second Echelon partners program," said Alex McKay, founder and president of ARMA Design. "Both the Digital Home Alliance and LonWorks Independent Developer Program are key in the nurturing of new markets and applications for its standards-based technology platform."
"The growing ecosystem of consumer products emerging from the Digital Home Alliance provides an ideal opportunity for ARMA Design to leverage its engineering expertise as a LonWorks Independent Developer," said Barry Haaser, Senior Director, LonWorks Infrastructure Business.
About The Digital Home Alliance: The Digital Home Alliance is a global network of suppliers, service providers, installers, and builders who share a common vision for reliable, intuitive, and affordable home automation solutions. Digital Home products are the result of that vision. All products that carry the Digital Home logo will work together on a home network. www.digitalhome.com
